What we're learning in May...
Computer Science

We will learn Microsoft Excel skills and produce news stories using Pinnacle.

Social Studies This month, we will finish up the American History curriculum, studying chapters 15-17: “Reform and a New American Culture,” “Slavery Divides the Nation,” and “The Civil War.”
Language Arts Students will continue to conduct research and revise their rough draft for their final research paper on a topic of their choice. We will delve into the exploration of various forms of figurative language in others’ writing, and incorporate it into our own writing as well. We will finish the year with a newspaper unit!
Science We'll be concluding our unit on sounds, followed by the beginning of the Great Egg Drop project.
Math

Put away that Nintendo 3DS, the new game in town is probability and statistics!

Religion Students will be discussing how cultural and religious differences have had a role in shaping the contemporary church.
